Vincent's

Hot Chocolate

with Spice Station's Spicy Hot Chocolate Mix

Spicy Hot Chocolate? Count me in!

Hi there! Vincent here. Want the best Adult hot cocoa recipe ever and want to do very little of the work? This Spicy Hot Chocolate blend from Spice Station Silverlake is my all-time favorite. It's made with real Dutch 20/22 alkaline cocoa, Grand Guayacan 20/12 alkaline cocoa powder, (both imported from Ecuador) and blended with Saigon cinnamon, ginger and other secret spices.  This very special blend gets its spicy kick from several different chile peppers, but the sweetest heat comes from a unique Mediterranean chili with a very funny moniker, named Urfa Bieber.

Ingredients

  • ½ ounce of Spice Station Silverlake’s Spicy Hot Chocolate (about half of the package we sent you and roughly 6 teaspoons)  (use more if you like and add to taste)

  • 2 cups of water

  • 2 teaspoons of brown or white sugar

  • 2–4 tablespoons of vanilla or hazelnut creamer, depending on taste

  • 2 tablespoons of milk (coconut or almond work as well)

  • Optional: 2 shots of brandy, Grand Marnier, Baileys, or any nice liqueur you might prefer. (not really needed as the heat from this amazing blend will warm you through plenty!)

Instructions

  • Add 2 cups of water to a small pot over medium heat and add a ½ ounce or 6 teaspoons of the Spicy Hot Chocolate Blend

  • Allow that to come to a boil making sure all of the cocoa mix has been whisked and is fully incorporated into the water. Whisk in the flavored creamer and the milk, then reduce heat to a simmer

  • Whisk in the sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, and taste until it is a sweetness you like. If you are using the brandy, Grand Marnier, or any other liqueur, add it to the pot now

  • Pour the Spicy hot chocolate into your Silver Buffalo mug and serve
